1. Acceptance of these Terms
By using InteriorMates in any way — browsing live requirements, creating a Designer account, submitting the Client requirement form, or purchasing a lead reveal — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 17.
2. Who can use InteriorMates
You may use InteriorMates only if you:
- are at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract;
- provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering or posting a requirement; and
- use the Platform in a manner consistent with these Terms and all applicable laws.
InteriorMates currently operates in a limited set of cities and states (shown in the Designer signup form). We may expand, restrict, or change the areas we serve at any time.
3. Accounts and registration
Designer accounts
To act as a Designer you must create an account with a business or studio name, a valid email address, a valid phone number, and a password. Your business name is shown publicly on your profile; your phone number is used for account-related communication and is not shown to Clients. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Client accounts
Clients do not register separately. A Client account is created automatically when you submit the requirement-posting form, using the contact details you provide in that form. By submitting the form, you agree to these Terms on the same basis as a registered Designer.
Account accuracy
You must promptly update your account information if it changes. We are not responsible for any loss arising from outdated or inaccurate account information you have not corrected.
4. Designer approval and verification
New Designer accounts are reviewed before they can access the lead feed. While your account is pending, you can sign in but will see a pending-approval screen instead of the dashboard. We may approve, reject, or request more information about any Designer account at our discretion, including to maintain the quality and trustworthiness of the Platform. Approval is not a guarantee, endorsement, or verification of the quality of a Designer's work.
5. Posting a requirement (Clients)
When you post a requirement, you agree that:
- the information you provide (property type, city, budget range, scope of work, timeline, and your contact details) is accurate and genuinely describes a project you want help with;
- you consent to your contact details being shared with a limited number of Designers who purchase a reveal of your requirement, as described in Section 6;
- you may be contacted directly by those Designers regarding your project; and
- InteriorMates is not a party to, and is not responsible for, any agreement, quote, contract, or project you enter into with a Designer.
6. The lead marketplace and contact reveals
Browsing live Client requirements on InteriorMates is free for Designers. To see a Client's contact details for a specific requirement ("reveal a lead"), a Designer spends wallet credits, as described in Section 7.
- The credit cost to reveal a lead varies by the nature of the project (for example, property type or project scope) and is always shown to you on the lead card and again before you confirm the reveal — the price is never hidden.
- The cost is fixed at the time a requirement is posted and does not change afterward.
- Each requirement can be revealed by a limited number of Designers; once that limit is reached, the requirement closes to further reveals and any attempted purchase after that point is not charged.
- A reveal is a one-time charge for that specific requirement. Reopening a requirement you have already revealed does not charge you again.
- Reveal charges are final once a Client's contact details have been shown to you, except where we determine, in our discretion, that a requirement was invalid, duplicated, fraudulent, or otherwise materially misrepresented — in which case we may reinstate the credits to your wallet.
- Revealing a lead's contact details does not guarantee that the Client will respond, hire you, or proceed with a project, and does not create any obligation on the Client's part.
7. Wallet, credits, and top-ups
Every Designer account has a wallet used to pay for lead reveals. New accounts receive a one-time welcome credit so you can try the Platform. Additional credits are added to your wallet by our team after you request a top-up through the contact details we provide in the Platform.
- Wallet credits are specific to your Designer account, have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred to another account or person.
- You can review your credit balance and transaction history at any time from your account.
- We may change how credits are purchased, topped up, or administered at any time; we will make reasonable efforts to notify active Designers of material changes.
- This section does not itself state, and should not be read as stating, any specific price. Current pricing for reveals and for topping up your wallet is always shown to you in the Platform at the relevant time.
8. No memberships or subscriptions
InteriorMates does not sell memberships, subscriptions, or paid account tiers. Creating a Designer account, being approved, and browsing live client requirements are free. The only amount you ever pay us is the per-lead reveal price described in section 6, charged from your wallet balance at the moment you choose to reveal a contact.
We do not cap how many contacts you may reveal in a day or in any other period. The practical limits are your wallet balance and the per-lead share cap described in section 6, which closes a lead once the maximum number of Designers have revealed it.
If we introduce optional paid plans in future, we will describe them in the product and update these Terms under section 17 before charging you for anything beyond per-lead reveals.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- post a requirement that is fake, a duplicate, or not a genuine interior design need;
- create or use a Designer account under a false identity or on behalf of a business you are not authorized to represent;
- attempt to bypass, automate, or otherwise circumvent the lead-reveal or credit system, including scraping, crawling, or harvesting contact details from the Platform;
- use contact details obtained through InteriorMates for any purpose unrelated to the specific project for which they were revealed, or share them with anyone else;
- harass, spam, mislead, or misrepresent yourself to a Client or Designer contacted through the Platform;
- upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that infringes another person's rights; or
- interfere with the security, availability, or normal operation of the Platform.
Violating this section may result in warning, suspension, or termination of your account under Section 16, in addition to any other remedies available to us.
10. Content and intellectual property
The InteriorMates name, logo, and the design, text, and code of the Platform belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or use them without our written permission, except as necessary to use the Platform as intended.
You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as portfolio images, case studies, or requirement details). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and reproduce that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform — for example, showing your portfolio to Clients or featuring a lead card in the public feed.
11. Relationship between Clients and Designers
InteriorMates is a marketplace that helps Clients and Designers find each other. We are not a party to, and do not control, supervise, or guarantee the outcome of, any conversation, quote, contract, or interior design project agreed between a Client and a Designer. Any agreement you enter into with a Client or Designer — including scope of work, pricing, payment, and timelines for the actual design project — is strictly between you and that party. We encourage both sides to independently verify each other's identity, credentials, and references before entering into any project.
12. Third-party services
InteriorMates may let you sign in using a third-party account (such as Google) and uses third-party tools for analytics and communication. Your use of any third-party service linked from InteriorMates is governed by that service's own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
13. Disclaimers
InteriorMates is provided "as is" and "as available." While we take steps intended to keep requirement posts genuine (such as requiring structured, consented Client submissions), we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of any Client requirement or Designer profile, and we do not guarantee that any reveal will lead to a successful project. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InteriorMates and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising from your use of the Platform or any project agreed with a Client or Designer you met through it. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount of wallet credits you purchased in the six months before the claim arose, or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law, whichever is higher.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold InteriorMates and its team harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with a Client or Designer you met through InteriorMates.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to InteriorMates, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Platform, or posed a risk to other users. You may stop using InteriorMates and request that we close your account at any time by contacting us. Wallet credits are not refundable for cash on account closure, except where required by applicable law.
17. Changes to the Platform or these Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of InteriorMates at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continuing to use InteriorMates after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to applicable law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of InteriorMates will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
