- A first-party device identifier stored in a cookie, used to recognize your browser across visits (see Section 5)
Wallet and transaction information
For Designer accounts, we keep a record of your credit balance and the history of credits added to and spent from your wallet (for example, a welcome credit on signup, a top-up, or a debit when you reveal a lead), so you can review your activity and we can support you if there is an issue. We do not currently process card or online payment details through the Platform itself — wallet top-ups are arranged through our support contact.
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- create and manage your account, including Designer approval;
- operate the lead marketplace — for example, showing your requirement to Designers and revealing a Client's contact details to a Designer who has paid to unlock it;
- process wallet credits and keep an accurate transaction history;
- send account-related emails, such as a welcome email, approval or rejection notice, purchase receipt, low-balance alert, or a digest of new leads matching your city;
- maintain the security of the Platform and prevent fraud or abuse, such as fake requirements or attempts to bypass the reveal system;
- understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it, using the analytics tools described in Section 5; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Why we can use your information
We collect and use personal information because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for (creating your account, posting or browsing requirements, and processing lead reveals), because you have consented — for example, a Client consents to their contact details being shared with a Designer who purchases a reveal — or because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the Platform secure, reliable, and improving over time.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep account and transaction information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution needs. A posted requirement remains visible to Designers until it closes (reaches its reveal limit) or is removed. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information as described in Section 8, subject to information we are required to keep for legal or accounting purposes.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted password storage, a security policy (Content Security Policy) that restricts what scripts can run on the Platform, and CSRF protection on forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to delete your account and personal information;
- object to or ask us to restrict certain uses of your information; and
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.
You can update your profile information directly from your account. For any other request, contact us using the details in Section 12; we will respond within a reasonable time and any timeframe required by applicable law.
9. Children's privacy
InteriorMates is intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
10. Third-party links and services
The Platform may let you sign in with a third-party account (such as Google) and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of services we do not control — please review their privacy policies separately.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continuing to use InteriorMates after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
12. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise any of the rights above, please reach out through our Contact page or visit our Support page.
